Amber Cove
The port of Amber Cove is located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, around twelve kilometers west of the city of Puerto Plata. It was opened in 2015 and has since served as an important port of call for cruise ships in the Caribbean.
The Amber Cove Cruise Center has a long pier with berths for large cruise ships and offers a variety of amenities for passengers. These include stores, restaurants, bars, a large pool area and a spa. The architecture of the harbor is inspired by the colonial history of the region and gives the area an authentic Caribbean flair.
Amber Cove is an ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area. The nearby town of Puerto Plata offers sights such as the historic San Felipe fortress, the cable car to Mount Isabel de Torres and the picturesque old town with its Victorian buildings. The region's beaches also invite you to relax and enjoy water sports activities.
The port of Amber Cove combines modern facilities with the natural beauty and cultural diversity of the Dominican Republic, offering cruise guests an unforgettable experience in the Caribbean.
