Balneário Camboriú
The port of Balneário Camboriú is located on the south coast of Brazil in the state of Santa Catarina and is a popular port of call for cruise ships. The city is often referred to as the “Dubai of Brazil”, as its impressive skyline with numerous high-rise buildings is reminiscent of international metropolises. Cruise ships anchor off the coast, as the port itself cannot accommodate large ships. Passengers are taken by tender boats to the pier, which is located near the city center. The main attractions can be easily explored from here.
The lively promenade on Praia Central offers a variety of restaurants, bars and stores. The Unipraias cable car, which runs from the beach to the surrounding hills, offers breathtaking views and connects the city with the idyllic Laranjeiras beach. The Cristo Luz, a large statue of Christ with a viewing platform, is also a popular destination. For excursions into the surrounding area, Blumenau, a town with German architecture and culture, is particularly famous for its Oktoberfest.
The port of Balneário Camboriú combines the modern urbanity of the city with the natural beauty of the coast and is a highlight for cruise guests.
